Chronicled By: Valhel Preceded By: Chupacabra The canister cracked onto the ground with a startling clank, and Pandora jolted out of her sleep, pointing a blaster out at the shadows. Before her Mercury lay dazed, the fuel can split open and leaking a few feet from his bloodied head. Slowly she turned, surveying the surrounding rock, even as her mind raced to guess her unseen attacker. “Mercury?” Pandora hesitantly stood to make her way to her friend, “Are you still here?” Mercury groaned in response and clutched his forehead, “Shi...” Collection: Elysian//Age of Youtb
Chronicled By: Valhel Preceeded by: Abandon Eden Mercury watched a group of shadows creep over a distant dune. Lowering the spyglass he tensed his shoulders and took on a serious tone. “There’s a pack of wild chalupas out there.” Pandora growled as she pulled a heavy blanket over her head, “Chupacabra. If you’re going to be on watch try not to narrate.” She pushed her back up against the side of the treader, shielding herself from the light of a full moon. It had been a long ride from the battle aboard the Hesperides, and Pandora was more than exhausted. Authority patrols swept over the dunes searching for the fleeing combatants forcing the pair to travel well out of their path home to avoid detection. Collection: Age of Youth//Elysian
Chronicled by: Valhel Preceeded by: Tributaries Black skycraft swept in though the shattered dome, two descended to the deck and the third remained to keep watch near the opening. “Why are they here?” whispered Lacea, slipping a dinner knife into the sleeve of her jacket. “Because I am here.’ offered Andrew, ‘You need to leave.” “What do we do?” asked Merc as he rose to his feet. “Make yourselves scarce, find cover” the Professor’s face turned grey, “do not let them find you.” Lacea nodded and taking Merc by the wrist sprinted behind the strange tree. No sooner had they ducked out of sight two figures dropped from the Resistance skycrafts and began to approach the Professor. Collection: Age Of Youth//Elysian
Chronicled by: Valhel Preceeded by: Mirrors Pandora retreated to the back of the garage, stepping carefully to avoid scattered tools that Wrench had left lying about. She pulled aside a canvas drape revealing the weathered airship beneath. Worry and admiration trickled through Pandora's mind as she weighed time against Wrench's progress on the vessel. Chronicled by: Valhel Preceeded by: Breach Embers flickered bright and red against the blue night as they floated up to join the stars above. A lone strix called from its rocky perch above the garage. The wind wound slowly over the desert chilling the air near freezing temperatures. Mercury, taking advantage of the smoldering Authority propaganda, had begun to warm bits of flatbread near the fire outside the bunker. He pondered how Pandora expected to get paid for burning the posters when it was intended for them to be hung around neighboring outposts. Collection: Age of Youth
Chronicled by Valhel preceded by: Out There Elysian: Breach ...seven weeks after the last Halleaux The malfunctioning lights flickered like an artificial thunderstorm within the iron halls of Roanoak. Blackouts had become a regular event within the base, but this was the first since Commander Petra had ordered the disarming of the Resistance as they prepared to carry the Gospel into the city. The coils of lightning surged down Pandora's wrist with a terrible buzzing sound as her cord ignited. Swinging over her shoulder and then back across, the whip cut the metal door to Mech's armory into six pieces. Alarms blared and the din of pursuers could be heard down the hall. Pandora shoved crates and steel boxes aside as she searched the room. Four lights from her helm illuminated the darkness that flooded the armory at interval with the red glow of the alarm beacon. Finally a pale light answered the lights from Pandora's own helm. A glass orb sat sealed in a pile of time jump tech, and within shone the pale light. Collection: Lormere
Chronicled by: Ghasty In a secluded corner of Queen Amelda's palace, Ahlogneir, Antlousai, Jaa, Meldontha, Novaci, and Toryna appeared. They hadn't been there long when a portal opened near them. Out of the portal flew a small book. After the portal spewed out its content, the portal closed as quickly as it had opened. The book landed at the feet of Toryna. Toryna picked it up and opened it. The book was a small, leather-bound journal with a brown string wrapped around it. Collection: Age of Youth
Chronicled by: Valhel Preceded by: Long Road Home Pandora's treader thundered across the dried and cracked wasteland as the sunlight retreated under the advance of night. Merc and Lacea trailed behind her on their own vehicles as they returned to the bunker they called home. The band had set up their base in the northeastern sectors of the desert, here long dead rivers wound their dried veins through the clay and spires of stone loomed overhead like titanic fossils. These dry riverbeds provided a natural layer of protection for Pandora's crew as it interrupted the relatively flat terrain with steep banks and maze-like channels. Collection: Ages of Youth
Chronicled by: Valhel pt II Thrashing, Pandora kicked down and wildly clawed her way to the surface of the pool. Breaching the water she tore away her helm with a violent gasp for air. For the next few moments Pandora only cared to regain her breath, then, though still shaken, found her way to the edge of the waters. Savoring the firm ground beneath her, Pandora lay for several minutes upon the stone floor. She could hear the whirl and hum of machinery about her, and the darkness of the stair was now a cavern lit by strange lanterns. Collection: Ages of Youth
Chronicled by: Valhel Pandora gently swung the ancient doors of the vacant chapel wide. Rusted hinges upon rotted wood disturbed after long years of neglect creaked and crumbled, damp bits and splinters fell down to the stone threshold from where Pandora's touch had held. Tiny, hideous creatures, now exposed, writhed and swarmed to their colonies beneath the wood as Pandora shut the doors behind her. A profane air filled the sanctuary. Though windows and walls were broken and wind would find easy welcome the air remained dead. Five gleaming light shone beneath Pandora's helm, the fortunes of the future illuminating the secrets of the dark and distant past. |
