Nightfires pt I of III

Another night had descended upon Roanoke without hail or sign of Marius. As shadows began to climb the iron walls of her hidden stronghold, so to did Petra ascend. Up one flight and then the next, until she stood atop the darkened rampart to watch the setting sun. It seemed to be larger than usual, the golden flames more ancient and weary.

Logan experienced major physical trauma in his early stages of being Guardian (flesh), soon after Mission 102 was completed he sustained dismemberment of arms and legs. He was rushed to a city named Trinity on the Planet of Freehold, in hospital a named Axis where experimental equipment was attached to his limbs to help him recover from his catastrophic injuries.

Chapter 12

Antlousai and Toryna appeared upon the summit of Mount Joxynsa. Ahlogneir, Jaa, and Novaci had finished burying Edya when they looked up to see Antlousai and Toryna appear. Jaa was about to question the two when blinding light surrounded the five. The light dispersed and Meldontha stood in its place.

Chapter 11

"Ieg Meldontha teupumi edhi oghad!" Delumer chanted. She stood in the center of her house. A revenant who looked like a human appeared in front of her. She was covered shoulders to feet in platinum armor. She had long blonde hair which partially covered an amaranth branch placed behind her left ear. She held a platinum sword with a tugtupite gemstone socketed in the center of her sword hilt. She was fair skinned and she had dark brown eyes. Her six amaranth-like wings arched through her armor.

“Marius, Mech’s been shot, Petra’s missing and the person who shot him might still be in Roanoke Base. I need you to meet Eoin in the Mess Hall and help him to find them,” Lacea ordered, speaking into the walkie-talkie. “Understood,” Marius’ voice crackled through Petra’s walkie-talkie.
“I’m leaving you here to wait for Marius,” Lacea said turning to Eoin. Eoin nodded, a gesture which Lacea barely saw through the gloom. Lacea walked out of the Mess Hall.
“Don’t get kidnapped or shot!” Eoin cried out to her to as she walked down the hall.

The net morning Petra sat at the end of the table in the conference room. The table was ringed with Daphne, Mira, Mech, Marius, five of The Six including Altair (who was healing remarkably well), and Mech’s assistant Gabrielle. “Okay everybody’s here, we’re just waiting on Ren” Petra said
As if on cue the door flew open with a bang and Ren swept inside dressed in his red armor, his cloak billowed behind him.
“Shut the door” he growled at Marius

“Has anyone seen Ren?” Petra asked a group of passing soldiers“No, Ma’am” they said, shaking their heads
“Great, he’s missing again” She said to herself
“Petra!” Marius yelled
Petra turned to see Marius running down the hallway after her. He was sweating and his hair was messed up, he rested his hands on his knees and huffed as he tried to catch his breath.
“Have you seen Ren?” She asked
